• identification uploaded

• got rejected: The item you uploaded is undated. Supplementary proof of your current student status.

April 28

• opened a ticket to contact the support team
  • clarified the date on my ID and current academic status
• using school issued email address to receive reply

April 29

• feedback: additional proof was required

April 30

• sent a screenshot of course list from school portal
  • explained the difficulty of getting official document from my university during COVID19

May 1

• got approved with the following notice
  • You may be prompted to periodically re-verify your academic status. Please make certain your GitHub notifications are configured best for you

GitHub为学生和老师提供了很多优惠。但薅羊毛的人太多，以至于GitHub目前验证比较严格，很多外国师生申请也被拒。个人觉得如果是正规军被要求验证，上传证件一般是能通过的，即便第一次被拒，把问题和理由说清楚，附上其他有效的证明也能过验证。

最后，最好用学校的ip上传证明，个人意见。
